QUESO!!! Not everyone has queso these days so when a Mexican place has it... And it's good it's a bonus! Great salsa bar. The fresh red is quiet delicious. Large hot sauce bar as well. Tacos are pretty standard tex-mex. Can't go wrong here.

Lime Fresh is an easy and fast restaurant in North Miami near FIU Biscayne Bay Campus. The food is consistent and does not take long to get. I typically order one of their salads here since they do a pretty decent job on them. They do have a decent collection of hot sauce and a salsa bar. Every time I've eaten here the restaurant has always been clean and the tables are usually quickly cleared. This is one of those places where you order like a fast food restaurant, but then the food is delivered to the table. The outside area is actually not bad to eat at, even though it is near the parking lot road. I've personally never smelled car fumes once while sitting here since you aren't siting right on top of the cars going by. Just a warning, the birds are a bit insane outside the restaurant sometimes. So do watch your food!

Love the Lime franchise but this location is an exception. They constantly blow orders and give too much attitude. It's a re-occurring theme since it opened. Manager, get it together.

  • Steven B.

Place use to be pretty good. Seems like their service went down hill a bit. I use to love coming to this place but now I typically try to steer clear unless one of my buddies decides to grab something from here. Employees are polite, and environment is clean. Hopefully they go back to better food!

Much better. Don't know what was wrong the last time, however today the manager or owner is clearly in-house!! LoL. My Queso Burrito was on point today. Awesome customer service too.

The food at this location is crappy. I don't know why, but this lime is not like the others.

I've eaten at other locations in broward and the food was noticeably better. I got lunch today just the basic chicken burrito and it was horrible. I could of bounced the chicken off the floor to the ceiling because of the rubbery texture. I don't complain ever I just don't go back. Both manager and another employee saw I did not eat more than a bite of my food and did not bother to ask if there was a problem. I'll stick to Taco Bell if I want fast Mexican food.

The grade of beef was terrible, did not eat any of my food.. Got the steak fajitas and it was awful. Will never go back again.. Yuck!

Top tip: If you're in Miami and you go to a taco joint where there are no Spanish speakers behind the counter, move on. Meh is the best I can say about Lime.

Your food may be ready within 5 minutes, but i usually come in here after the lunch rush when there aren't that many people in line. I tried the taco combo this time and it includes 3 types of tacos. The steak and queso, I wanna Tijuana, and the surfer taco. The steak and queso is amazing. The steak is hot and juicy and it's mixed with the smoky cheesiness of queso. It's served in a flour tortilla with cooked green peppers, onions, and fried jalapeños! Yum. The I wanna Tijuana was classic with refuted beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. The surfer taco comes with grilled or fried fish, a spicy ranch, and pico de gAllo! It tasted great. It was very simple and fresh. Great lunch.

I'm a big fan of Limes. The Burritos are usually amazing. I don't know what it might have been but, this very last time the Burritos did not taste the same. The service is great everyone there is friendly. I'm still a big fan!

    (3)
  • Kirah S.

They have frozen margaritas & sangria! You can mix them also. I had a veggie queso burrito that was huge and delicious. There's also a salsa bar for you to rack up on salsas for your chips that comes with your meal. Loved it all! The customer service was excellent with a very personable cashier.

This location is a bit off from the other restaurants. They did not have my favorite sauce and my tacos were a bit disappointing. I love Lime but I won't be back at this location.

    (2)
  • Kita T.

The staff is friendly but the food, meh. It's bland almost flavorless. I'm not a fan of "mexican" fast food restaurants, so maybe I'm biased.

I wish I could give a better review. The food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable. I have been before and always enjoyed my food. Today my burrito was cold inside and because they don't check on you after they drop the food off, I didn't bother hunting anyone down to get it heated up. I just choked down a few bites of a cold burrito and gave up.

Lime! I don't know what it is ... This restaurant has a very simple menu so I guess that's why they are able to make their food so good! I've been here numerous times and have been pleased every time! The wait staff is very nice. Even through they are not waitresses they always come around to make sure you have what you want. Only reason I am not giving a 5th star is because on my last visit they were super busy and didn't seem to know how to handle it. 45 minutes for my food and another 10 minutes for my cheese dip that they said I didn't order. Only problem I've ever had.

Quick, healthy, tons of hot sauce and salsa to choose from. I'm all about the fajata salad.

This instance of LIME deserves a good review. The food is tasty and the prices are very reasonable. I have visited many times and always enjoyed my food. The service is fast, attentive and courteous. In accordance with the cost of this food, the experience was great.

I could eat at Limes every day and I don't think I would ever get sick of it. I haven't had anything here that I haven't liked. Fresh mexican food, quick service, and good prices. Nice outside seating.

Really great steak queso burrito. The manager, Jose was very friendly and a good guy overall. Amelia was very knowledge and recommended a good hot sauce for my liking. The Georgia peach n vandalia onion. Great food n atmosphere.

Was Jonesing for my Cabo chicken salad which was taken off menu in October. When manager heard my disappointment, he went out of his way to accommodate me with making up an old Cabo salad--saw I wasn't thrilled the first time as they used romaine vs. shredded lettuce and made a new one just as great as the original past one. Try ordering OFF the menu at most places and you'll get laughed at. Above AND beyond service like this will keep me coming back as a LIME FAN! THANKS & keep up great attitude!

  • Christopher D.

Service is terrible. Food should have been fresh at 3 pm but the beans and sour cream were dry and the hard shell tacos were stale. The ground beef tasted as of it had been sitting out and reheated continuously. Was never asked if we needed anything and there were only 3 tables. The lady who took my order was not pleasant and was not helpful at choosing a vegetarian option even though the menu states they have the option to.

    (2)
  • Chris A.

Excellent customer service. I wasn't a fan of how they changed a recipe and they offered us free replacements. Love the manager. My wife is a huge fan of the margaritas.

  • JoAnna L.

When this place first opened across the street, it was amazing. When I was pregnant I ate here about 1-2 times per week! Lately though, no Bueno. The steak is chewy and fatty. The beans aren't as good as they used to be and are very dry. The salsas are still good, and the staff is nice, and the restaurant is clean, but the food? They really slacked in the quality of their food. With the other choices for fast food "Mexican" in the area, we won't be back :-(

  • Ashley F.

I have to say that I'm really dissatisfied with my first order. I ordered a reg. classic chicken quesadilla and a cup of salsa asada. The quesadilla was the worst quesadilla I've ever had. It had a pinch (I'm not exaggerating) of cheese, a lot of refried beans and a tiny bit of chicken. It certainly didn't deserve to be called a quesadilla at all because well, quesadillas have cheese, lots of it, and this one barely had any. Taco bells quesadilla is much better in comparison to this. I really regret not taking a picture of the inside. The sauce was supposed to be a medium hot sauce and it had no "hotness" at all. It was flavorless. The only thing I enjoyed from my order were the chips that came with it....I def won't be ordering their non-quesadillas again. I am giving it two stars instead of one because my coworkers taco salad looked good but that's about it.

I don't think I have ever been disappointed with this place and I must have eaten here at least 50 times. This is our families favorite place when we are having a hankering for Fresh Mex food. Thanks for the vegetarian options also

Love it you got to check this place out! The food is great! Prices are good! Happy hours, free salsa bar, great place to hangout with friends. The service is very good, they always have coupons, I just got a free burrito usually for 8.99 and all the salsa you want, beers are $2.00 for coronas, also very important DOG FRIENDLY!!!!

  • Therese A.

Terrible. Will not return. We had nachos (soggy) steak tacos (old) quesadilla (flavorless). We used to come here...something clearly changed. Tables were dirty, music too loud, smelled inside (need better ventilation). Never again!

This lime use to be the go to lunch spot. Since they changed the menu and apparently the owners it has gone down hill big time. Even the sour cream sucks now. I'll pass...

Went here for lunch during work hours and it pretty much is just good for fast food. I had a lime-chicken burrito and meh...it was ok. The tortilla chips and awesome amounts of sauce were great tho.

I had the worst experience at this Lime in North Miami Beach. They have horrible customer service. It all started when I ordered fajitas and I asked for mine without cheese and sour cream and the cashier told me with an attitude that I don't need to ask for it without them since they already come on the side. Then we waited over 30 minutes for our food which never came out. We asked where our food was after all that time and they informed us that our payment was processed but since they had issues with their computer our food order never went through. After some more waiting we received our meals. Our taco meal had hair in it. Which was disgusting. So the manager brings out our food again and it was all wrong and she had the nerve to tell us that she brought out exactly what's on the menu and that's all she knows. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. As a matter of fact when we were placing our order she was arguing with another customer. Then we had ordered sopapilla for dessert when we first got there. Again the waiting over 15 minutes after finishing our food. We go inside and ask again and they had forgotten. We continued to wait another 10 minutes and nothing again. So when we went inside our sopapilla was on the counter and the staff had forgotten to bring it to our table. This has been the worst experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. Extremely unprofessional. I only can say one good thing about our waiter who was the only one who was apologetic. I will never go here again.

Last time I came I got the chicken tacos and they were absolutely tasteless. The time before that I got the taco salad and it was decent. Only good thing about this place is that it is close to school and FIU students get 10% off.

  • David C.

Great service every time. Food good like every other lime I guess. But always treated wonderfully

    (5)
  • Johnny R.

Lime Mexican Grill can definitely do much better than this. Even though I'm not mexican my standars for mexican food are pretty high. There's nothing special about this place so you'd be better off trying one of several Mexican restaurant in the area. One time I ordered a quesadilla with no chicken for my daughter that is lactose intolerant and they failed to complete my request. They gave it to me with cheese and I did'nt realized it until I was half way home. I went back and Had to wait again for them to make the right quesadilla. I have little patiente for mistakes like this so it wasn't a pleasant experience for me. Their product don't really taste fresh like its name states either.

I stopped in here for lunch and pretty much got what I expected - quick lunch Mexican. The one thing that made me very happy was seeing a bean burrito on the menu - something that seems to be very hard to find in our area. The burrito was good and the salsa selection neat - I chose a medium-hot salsa and liked it. Overall, a good lunch option in the area.

I used to love this place. Today, not so much. I arrived at noon and the place is dead. The food arrived fast but chips were cold n tuna taco was meager. While biting into my taco the "manager" who seemed uninterested and apathetic, approached, bc I was mid bite I just nodded as he inquired on my lunch. I noticed he went to the next table with his horrible timing and inquired on her lunch too. Again due to her being in the midst of a bite as well she just nodded. Soon after the food runner was asked for something. I only mention this bc the last time I was here the manager was very chirasmatic and professional. The overall experience this time compared to the last time was like night and day. Feeling disappointed.

Fresh does not always means good. I was invited by a friends to check out this overly hyped Mexican spot. The location i went to was a little small (N.M.B) the fact it was hot ,plus some wise guy felt it was better to leave the front door wide open made for a bad combo . Here's the scoop on the food, i had a big Cali burrito which is a new item on the menu , it was OK at best, felt like a better version of taco bell honestly .Yes the Ingredients are fresh and the Queso Dip is really good ,everything else made me feel like i spent way more money for a nicer location to eat Americanized Mexican food. Sorry not gonna be going to this place anytime soon. The Bell is calling ! Ding.

Love the fresh southern salad with steak! Eat there all the time what else can I say....

  • Natasha C.

I've had food from Lime a couple of times, and it's pretty decent. The tortilla soup is good but nothing special, and the nachos are a little overly salty in addition to having pickled jalapenos-- why not fresh ones? This isn't at Taco Bell levels, but there are better fast food Mexican places around; personally, if I'm going for a greasy chain style, I'll stick with Tijuana Flats or Moe's.

    (3)
  • David S.

Agree with Sasha and Ana. Used to be a fav, but since it was sold to Ruby Tuesday, IT TOTALLY SUCKS. ! PERIOD ! END OF STORY ! Go to Chipotle across the street or the one in old Lohmann's Plaza location.up the street a few blocks !!! MUCH BETTER QUALITY! and VALUE.at CHIPOTLE.!!!!!!

3 Plabras: Bonito, Barato, y Bueno. [Translation= 3 Words: Pretty, Cheap, and Good] Lime is a great place to go when you're in a Mexican mood. I'd compare it to Moe's and Lime is better in my book. The service was incredibly fast, the menu has many options and they will even create any vegetarian version of what's on their menu. The restaurant is simple modern and trendy. There was also outdoor seating, which is always nice on beautiful Miami "Winter" and Spring days. I ordered the soft original tacos and I loved them. My friend's had various other things and everyone loved their meal. I absolutely love taste Tex-Mex food and this hit the spot. The staff was really friendly and attentive to our huge group.

  • Dana D.

The dining experience at this Lime is unlike any other. I come here not only to eat delicious unauthentic Mexican edibles, but also to share this experience with 50 species of birds. The birds that hang out at this place are ruthless. They once stole a salsa'd chip right out of my hands, and then they stood on the table next to me laughing. These birds stand on tables, that's how much they don't care. So come to this Lime, have yourself a taco( or whatever other variant of a taco you get that contains the same exact fundamental ingredients), and punch a bird in the face.

I love this place! My friend introduced me to it like 3 or 4 years ago. I ALWAYS get the fajita platter, my favorite on their menu thus far. They are clean, customer service is great, they are attentive. I will say though that the food varies from location to location. This location is great so is the one off of Pines Blvd & I-75 in The Shops at Pembroke Gardens. The one in Dadeland area/center had great customer service but the food tasted a bit funny. Any who, I'm still a fan. I'll just stick to my fav locations. *Disclaimer: I am not paid to do any of my reviews. I'm just a consumer who was sick & tired of not seeing any reviews (good or bad) on many of the South Florida establishments that I frequent or have visited in the past.

When it comes down to customer service this lime is way ahead of the game. I've been here quite a few times and i've always been greeted w/ a smile and a "hello" acknowledging each customer that walks in. and while your waiting to place or pick up your order a staff member more then likely gets your drink for you which is something that rarely happens in a more casual eaters. I've tried the black bean soup which im not a fan of the queso dip is ok. The baja fish taco's are my signature item, and the burritos and quesadilla's there good as well. The food is good but what keeps me coming back is their amazing customer service.

Do not sit outside unless you want to be attacked by crows. Their happy hour is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4-7p. $2 Tacos, 2-for-1 Beer, Sangria, and Margaritas. The staff is friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious. I had one incident when they gave me the wrong order but the staff quickly remedied the situation.

  • J G.

This place serves Mexican style food. The staff is pleasant and the food is good. The place has a nice laid back atmosphere and if you are hanging out with friends you will enjoy it. I have not had a bad experience at this place of at any other Lime that I have visited. I will warn you that if you like Maragaritas, their frozen Margarita has a kick you will enjoy! If you are driving do not have more than one!

I really like this place. It is a staple eat of mine in Miami and now they have a Tampa location which is cool. I like best the made fresh daily hot sauce bar !! Like a less commercial more substance, Tijuana Flats.

For those times when we're not feeling experimental and just want something good with no wait time - this is one of our go-to restaurants. Personally I think their tacos are good - nothing earth shattering. Their 3 tacos for $6.99 deal is hard to beat for what you get. I've also had their taco salad, which was surprisingly one of the better taco salads I've ever come across, and the portion they give is huge. But I think what makes this place is their salsa selection. What can I say? I'm simple - a place that offers more than 3 salsas (I think they have a total of 6) is worth keeping in the rotation.

    (3)
  • Karly G.

I don't understand all the raves and what not for this place. it's definitely overrated for what it's worth. The sangrias and frozen margaritas were aweful and freaking expensive. I had the fish tacos and that was just alright. Everything on the menu was just overpriced!!! Maybe the only decent thing about it is the many sauces for dipping and pouring over your tacos, burritos etc... The service was ok. You order your food and they bring it out to your table. I would settle for taco bells cuz i'm definitely not coming back here.

    (2)
  • Marcos R.

I had a better experience at this location as opposed to the one in S. Beach. Even though this one is in a strip mall, the outdoor seating felt more comfortable and open. The bang'n bad beats at the S. Beach location might've had something to do with it. I wish this location was in S. Beach, as North Miami is kind of out of the way for me. It's funny though because Chipotle is right across the street from Lime. So you've got two dueling trendy gringo chain taco/burrito joints opposite each other.

  • Mya M.

well I must start by saying I have been a lime fan since it opened. I always have the quesadilla and its always good, However, today I decided to try something different and opted for the queso burrito. i had some issues: 1. its not very queso-y at all 2. i ordered the burrito veggie - they charged me for guacamole 3. they didn't mention that the darn thing came with jalapenos! i ate 1/4 of the burrito and couldn't stand it anymore. what a waste of $12 i understand its probably on the menu which i scanned. but it would've been nice to mention it! they could at least put a visual indicator by the items that are spicy so that people know at first glance the people were nice, however no one even came anywhere near my table till i was done for over 15 minutes. guess back to the quesadilla i go.

    (3)
  • Jnk H.

Great food and loved the outdoor seating. great selection of hot sauce and salsa. liked it so much that we went back for a second time during our vacation. Make sure u get the nudie bowl, it's delicious but I wish it comes with more chips. the only thing we didn't like was that the first time we went, it was during lunch time and our meal came with a drink. the second time we went was during dinner time and our meal didn't come with a drink. it just seemed like the employees were not on the same page. other than that, food was great. it was all worth it.

  • John M.

We like this place a lot. Beef and chicken are seasoned good, and the salsas, sauces, and guacamole are fresh made just like the name sake states. A wide variety of burritos, tacos, and the Dang Quesadillas! Lol. They have a buffet style area where you can pick and choose from a variety of salsas and sauces, which is normally scary at other places because it is usually left unattended and can get filthy. But they frequently tend to it at lime and keep it clean. Can't give it five stars because dessert is not on the menu.

I love lime; the food is always consistently good, and the huge selection of hot sauces always keep me coming back for more. I love hot sauce, and getting to try new ones is a special treat to me. So when I came into this Lime location and saw the hot sauces, it was a big let-down. The hot sauce selection was pretty sub-standard compared to other locations I've been to, and they didn't even have their own "lime brand" hot sauces available. (They said they ran out) Many of my favorites were missing. The food was great, as usual. My Tijuana taco was crunchy, gooey, and the ground beef was perfectly seasoned. My steak quesadilla was also great, with plenty of tender, lean steak. My biggest complaint; the birds were completely overwhelming. We had our dog with us and had to sit at the outside tables. It was a beautiful day and perfect for eating outside. Unfortunately there seems to be a bird infestation here. At one point there were literally 18 crows and other birds circling our table. My boyfriend and I had to take turns leaving the table for drink refills or napkins because the birds would move in as soon as we pushed back our chairs. The birds were on our table, circling all around us, and very disgusting. I wish they would put up a net or close their outside garbage cans or do something to discourage the feathery menace. it's not sanitary. One bird actually pooped on our table, not even half a foot away from my basket of chips. Eeew.

What's great about Lime? It's quick, consistent, and tasty! What are the drawbacks? You're either sitting indoors with deafening dance music, or you're outdoors overlooking a parking lot--- "This salsa tastes like carbon monoxide-- no, wait! It's the d-bag in the Hummer revving his engine in front of the restaurant." It may not be fair for me to review Lime because I never do well at the hybrid fast-food/sit-down style places where you order at a counter and then someone brings you the food. For me, it's worst of both worlds. I'm a bit vertically challenged, so I can never see the board well enough to figure out what I want by the time it's my turn at the counter, and I get all stressed out about making other people wait, and I HATE HATE HATE crowds and getting jostled around with people throwing elbows and that always seems to happen at a food counter. When it's time to grab a table, I always have a creepy suspicion that it may not have been cleaned completely...well.. or even at all, after the previous diner. Anyway, Lime gets points for value. It's really good eats for the money, and it's quick.

My Lime if I'm in the N. Miami Beach/Aventura area. This one was one of the originials, and it always serves up great Mexican food and friendly service. Oudoor patio is very nice to enjoy the breeze and especially the burrito desnudo or the chicken quesadillas. So good!

Always screw up my order, but that's okay, they always correct it. Nice staff, Cooks seem young and not too experienced.. Free wifi convenient, nice decent location with a little water fall outside. I get my grub on but they screw up my order every time no matter how clearly I tell them. It ruins the experience sometimes...

Dear Lime manager: I used to go there a lot. The service was fast and the food quality good for this king of restaurant. However, last night it was very disappointing. Since you guys have a lot to give, I will offer 2 tips for free. 1: You can't only run out of steak on a Saturday night and offer beef with the excuse that "It's the same". No! It is not the same. They both come from a cow, but they are not the same thing. 2: This is based on a complaint you will hear on the line on a busy day: People have to read the menu when they get to the register instead of read it on a big sign you should put on the wall so by the moment people get to order, they know what to do. Just go to any Mc. Donald's and see how they do it, it's not rocket science. Regarding the food quality, you guys are getting closer to Chipotle and Taco Bell than to the old Lime.

Friendly staff and great food! It's my favorite spot, no one does it better. I couldn't recommend it more. They make me feel like part of the family.

Queso burrito is my favorite! Their queso in general is one of the best I have ever had. However they need to be more consistent. They are great some days and just ok on others.

Local lunch favorite. Can never go wrong with Lime. Great tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. If trying to eat healthy, recommend the low carb tacos and lite quesadilla. Great selection of hot sauces. Highly recommend over the local Chipotle.

For a quick, casual, Tex-Mex meal, I love this place. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The salsa bar is a great idea. Zona Fresca and Moe's are a bit better. But both of those are in Ft. Lauderdale. I am not driving 40 minutes to get a burrito. This place blows Chipoltle away. It offers a lot more variety and is more health conscious. The fajitas, or The Skinny Burrito are usually what I order. Their queso dip is great when you mix in some hot salsa. They have finally expanded their menu to include more items. This is good because there menu before was a bit limited. This is a great place to go after the beach when you are craving Tex-Mex. Enjoy!

Glad we stopped by for dinner the other night. This place is in a strip mall, but what place isn't around these parts? The tacos were really good and much larger than I anticipated. I favor the steak. The fish taco (regular not baja) was ok...but I won't reorder. Tortilla chips were a nice surprise. Quite a lot of food for the price. Service was good as well. It was a nice night to eat outside. Really nice outdoor eating area. Their habanero hot sauce was actually too hot for my husband, so beware. The margaritas are a bit expensive (more than the tacos!), but one is all you need. This is a nice, chill spot for a simple dinner.

Went here last weekend with some friends. I wasn't sure what to expect. Cold beer, cheap tacos and DIY salsas and hot sauces made it a very pleasant experience. Food was hot, tasty and fast not to mention cheap.

It's no Baja Fresh or Felipe's (THE BEST BURRITO- NEW ORLEANS, LA). It works when you're in the mood. The Lime burrito is my favorite with lots of salsa verde.

Lime is a great place for a casual, inexpensive lunch or dinner. Highlights for me include the fresh salsa bar, frozen margaritas and sangria, and quesadillas. I like the chicken quesadilla light - lowfat cheese and a wheat tortilla. Goes great with the smoky red medium-hot salsa! There is a nice seating area indoors in the back of the restaurant, but if it's not too hot, outdoor seating near the fountain is the way to go. Of all the quick Mexican places I've visited in Miami (Lime, Chipotle, Qdoba, etc.), Lime is definitely my favorite!

  • Jordan N.

True, this place is very "gringo" but the ambience is nice, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is good (although really, what makes this place are the margaritas and the homemade salsas - i loved adding salsa asada to my dishes). Even though this isn't authentic Mexican, I'm kind of thankful that we have something better than Taco Bell and even some crappy "authentic" Mexican joints we have down here in Miami. Authentic does not always translate to be good.

I lived in Aventura 3.5 years ago (I live in Philly now) and I miss Lime so much! the food is so fresh and flavorful, and I love the salsa bar. Lime you really need to open in Philly metro area, lots of people and its a great city to be in (even if your outside the city)

Lime is the most casual and delicious place. You can eat either inside or outside. The wait time is not that long, even during their rush hour. There is a huge selection of hot sauce which I dig because I'm a spice freak. The Lime people are super friendly and geniunely want you to be comfortable and satisfied with your food and drink. Lime is my guilty pleasure :)

On my most recent visits they have gotten their act together, and consistently so. I can now safely say that this is a step up from the Chipotle across the street in regards to food and service.

It's a good place to have a relaxing Friday lunch. The food is fresh and they marinated the chicken very well. They have a stand with all kind of hot sauce (30+) you can choose to add to your food. I had a Salad and I liked it a lot I love the out door seating it's so relaxing . But the chair is kind of uncomfortable.

I love the quick easy delicious food this place puts out. I had an issue with seating this last visit that made me really upset, the manager Greg worked to make us happy... Kudos to Greg for the service, kudos to Lime for the meal, just plain kudos!

Service is quick and the people are nice. Low key, no rush kind of place. Casual, good for lunch or dinner. The hot sauce/salsa bar is a plus. The soup is good. Fish tacos a must try The variety of dishes on the menu gives any diner a plethora of choices whether your vegan, vegetarian, or you eat everything. Overall, it's a great place for an inexpensive meal any day of the week.

I don't always drink beer but when I do I drink . . . . Dos Equis Amber lol After a long day at Haulover with the Bf He convinced me to put down the Iphone sign off of yelp and let him pick the spot for dinner. The spot ? Lime Mexican Grill. Its Located on Biscayne blvd in what seems to be a busy plaza. As I stared at the menu I was overwhelmed with so many yummy choices. The cashier that took our order was very sweet and loved offering her help when it came to picking out my order. I choose the Big Cali Burrito.....$7.99 gets you flour tortilla stuffed with rice, your choice of chicken or ground beef, refried beans, jack and cheddar cheese and sour cream. I decided to pay the extra $1.99 to make it steak and it was A-MAZ-ING. The burrito also come with a side of tortilla chips and they have plenty of different salsa to satisfy everyone taste buds. They also serve a variety of different beers and a few frozen margaritas. I used this opportunity to try the famous Dos Equis Amber beer. Not to bad. They have daily beer specials so be sure to be on the look out for them when ever you stop by and I hope you do !

Meh - It's just ok. The food is really not very flavorful and a little expensive for what you get. This particular location does have a kinda cool outside seating area and good music. The service was excellent. The person who served our food kept checking in with us - very nice. Again though, the food was just not that good... but not bad - just blah. I would much rather go across the street to the other Mexican style chain burrito place - I like the flavors much better there and the people are also really nice. The outside seating area isn't as pretty though but that's ok with me.

Dearest Lime, fairest of the fast served burrito, psuedo Mexican on the fly, I have not discovered you until coming to Miami. In the North we are subjected to your bastard step siblings Chipotle and Moe, but here you wait to serve up the good stuff. Thank you.

I come here quite often with my family, friends, and co-workers! The tortilla soup and flautas are amazing. The quesadillas are also very tasty and all the ingredients are incredibly fresh! The restaurant is clean and inviting. Sitting outside is great on a breezy day! Also, the salsa bar is on point. The pico de gallo salsa is my favorite!

Lime is by far the best Mexican to ever hit Miami and most likely all other locations in other cities as well! With almost 100 different HOT sauces to choose from,,Freshly made salsas,,fresh produce daily and humanely raised meat,,Lime is a must! I could eat here everyday and the prices are excellent too!

I'm going to agree with John L. here. I would give the south beach location 3 stars just because it's in the right place with ok prices and has a cute homecooked beachy feel. It doesn't translate in this aventura outpost. here the prices just seem high (why was my lemonade $3????) and there's very little ambiance to appreciate. they do have a tempting $2 draft special sign that i haven't explored (draft what?) the menu items are exactly the same with your choice of chicken, ground beef, or steak on tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc. i ordered a salad with chicken since i remembered that i loved the one i'd tried in sobe. i didn't quite feel the love this time. the lime and something dressing was pretty one dimensional and the salad seemed much smaller (FEEEED MEEEE) than i remembered. i cobbled together my own flavor profile out of the roasted tomato salsa and some mango ginger hot sauce from their wide assortment. by the way, the bacon that came on the salad was neither crispy, nor tasty as promised,so order it without, to preserve precious bacon points (you know what i mean!). unless i'm craving fish tacos( the only ones in town, i'm sure), i'll probably go to chipotle....

About 5 minutes from my apt... in the same shopping center as my Publix... a go-to place when you want something quick and tasty. Much more options than the Chipotle across the street. Great outdoor seating... the shopping center has gotten a bunch of cute fast-restaurants as of late. Service was outstanding... very attentive. You order with the cashier, and they bring the food to your table. Queso appetizer is a must-have... sooo tasty! Ordered the queso burrito b/c I was in the mood for even more queso... but wasn't too impressed. They seemed to mix up some steak and fish (eww) in my burrito towards the bottom. Next time will stick with my norm of quesadillas. But everyone else at my table ordered the Lime Burrito with Chicken and were very satisfied -- huge portions. It's no Moe's Southwest Grill -- but it'll do until they open up one near me! ;)

Great food for low prices. I usually get the baja fish tacos or the lower carb tacos. The best thing about Lime are all of the sauces and condiments available to flavor your food. Some other dishes that are good are the flautas and the guacamole. My favorite sauce is the salsa asada.

Sorry to come in as the judge on the matter, but the food here is nothing special at all. It's like a Moe's but without the warm feeling you get when everyone yells out the "welcome to Moe's!" The food is a bit expensive for what you're ordering and the amount of meat given in the tacos is minimal. If ordering Taco's you won't need to order chips, since they come with a side of chips. However, I have found myself eating here, a couple of times. I guess it was the urge for some Mexican styled, semi fast food. The sad truth of it all is Moe's, just opened up inside FIU (across the street) and I don't see the prices at Lime, nor anything else they are offering, attracting the students to continue coming here. Unless Lime can survive on the dinner crowd alone, without making any drastic change, like an all you can eat night, I don't see them around for much longer.

we had an hour to kill for lunch today, so we went here, b/c a friend loves this place. two of us split the Nachos and 2 corn tortilla grilled fish tacos. Yummers! The nachos were great! Not too much of it, and we ordered just the right amount of food to fill us up, and not throw us into a food coma. :) and at 16 total, it wasn't bad at all. and the tacos were good! the fish was nice and fresh, but my tortilla fell apart, so i was picking at everything inside with a fork. otherwise it was tasty, especially with the sauce it came with. and there's a salsa bar that has about 6 options along with fresh cilantro and HUGE limes. :) As well as a little hot-sauce-bar that includes over 20 bottles to choose from... If i were to be in NMB and craving some fresh mexican, I'll be sure to come here. Sucks, my next rotation isn't going to be anywhere near here.

Lime is not too bad as far as counter service Mexican food goes in SoFlo. The people were friendly and the manager was on-site and attentive. The chips were very good, but I was disappointed with pretty much all the salsa at the salsa bar. They did not have much flavor, although the pico de gallo was pretty decent. The best part may have been the frozen sangria. The cashier warned us about it when ordering, saying that it was not bad, but many people did not like it. Well, this sangria actually tasted like sangria!! Can you believe it? I could taste the wine in the drink, rather than it being some berry monstrosity. I would definitely go back just to sit on the patio, listen to the odd music, and drink a bucket of that sangria.

My very favorite Mexican fast food / restaurant in South Florida. The chips are hot and fresh and their Taco Salad and Mole Steak or Chicken Burrito is excellent. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The are a small number of tables in the back and you can usually find seating. It's located in the Publix Strip Mall next to Costo, so there is plenty of parking.

Unfortunately, this place really sucked. I was hoping for a good chipotle-like chain place or whatever, but all I got was really tasteless, not fresh food that looked like it was just thrown together. The prices aren't that bad, but the food had less flavor than taco smell. I was really disappointed. I had a salad and a quesadilla, and while I didn't try their salsa bar, I'm sure I wouldn't have been amazed because the rest of the meal was meh.

Having lived in Arizona for almost 4 years I'm a true mexican food fan. I was happy when a friend told me that this place was right in my neighborhood. I had always driven past the one down south but never knew what it was. With that sad, I think the food is good, fish taco's great. I always take friends here and they love whatever they get. I am currently addicted to the grilled fish taco's. They come marinated with a very yummy spicy ranch sauce. This fish is also available in a salad, that I thought at first glance, fish salad? But it's very yummy if you're looking for a no tortilla option. All the taco's come with chips that are very nice and fresh. The salsa is decent, but the only one's I will touch are the Habanero (VERY HOT) and the verde. BEWARE: The habanero is so hot that I used some leftover on a breakfast burrito I made at home once and was so mad bc the salsa made the burrito way too spicy to finish. What I usually do is get verde salsa and put a little habanero on top of it. If you use only habanero and ruin your meal, you've been warned and you will not be happy. I really love VERY spicy food, but its the kind of salsa that stays on your lips and tongue and burns it for several minutes with water and ice offering no immediate cure/relief LOL. The only other Mexican place in this area is Chipotle (which I don't consider Mexican since its owned by heart killer, we use the worse & fattiest ingredients possible Mickey D's. Have you looked at the calories and sodium in their burritos? Please google it and just go eat a big mac instead.) and two other places on Biscayne and Collins. I'm not sure of the names, but this is the only fast food type Mexican in the area (or that I know of period in the Miami/Broward area). I feel they do a pretty good job and I now eat here often getting either a salad or fish/chicken taco's. They offer vegetarian options, healthier tortilla's, and a "skinny burrito". For dessert, I recently tried the brownie explosion or something its called? It came with very very yummy, warm brownie pieces with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and caramel on top. What i did think was weird was that it didn't come with the choice of having icecream on top. The whipped cream made up for this though slightly so I will definitely have that again when I'm in the mood for warm chocolate. This location also has nice outdoor seating with a fountain and the birds aren't bothersome.

went w/ my sister for the first time and got nachos. they were good, lots of toppings, but not a lot of sour cream. had jalapeno peppers which was not good cause i shared w/ my daughter and if it was too spicy for me i know she can't eat it. the chicken and steak both were good. i know day old nachos sounds nasty, but this was a big portion and when i put the nachos in the toaster oven they were as crispy as the 1st day. i'd recommend this restaurant and i cannot wait to go back

Again, I only wanted to review because of the insanely high marks Lime was receiving. This is not a GREAT place, not even a good place. They have one above average dish... fish soft tacos (has anyone EVER been there when they were anything but mahi-mahi... catch of the day my ass). The burritos are pretty crappy. The nachos are anemic. The prices are OK. Do yourself a favor.... walk across the street to the Chipotle. I'm a little surprised that this Lime location hasn't folded yet because of it yet.

I like this place but I don't love it. Sometimes when I want Mexican food I don't really want fresh healthy food. I want sloppy sticky messy Mexican food. This place is definetly fresh and I love their Tortilla Soup and their Taquitos come with the best sauce. But it always seem like you don't get a lot for your money. I really like PAUL which is right next store. This also might be another reason why I don't come here that often.

Lime is the restaurant that made me like Mexican food. Well, perhaps that's a bit of an exaggeration, as we used to visit Baja Fresh occasionally before we found Lime, but Lime has completely replaced Baja for us. The outdoor decor is pleasing, with large umbrella covered tables next to climbing bougainvillea, charming street lamps and...well, a parking lot, but it's not bad. There's seating inside as well, with comically high stools and deep booths, but it's Miami so you'll probably want to be outside, unless the semi-loud music annoys you. You order and pay at the counter and a number is given to you to place at your self-seated table. Within minutes your food is brought to you, and that's the extent to which you'll see your server. The pico is simply the best. Pick some up at the free salsa bar. Nearby there's also a selection of 40 or 50 different hot sauces for those in the mood to lose a taste bud or two. My favorite is the chicken, which is infallibly tender, juicy and delicious. The beef is similarity wonderful - what do they marinate this stuff in? Rainbows? Nachos are almost always whisper-thin and crunchy without being greasy. Salads come in a great big bowl with generous toppings. The only disappointment we've experienced is the stingy number of tortillas that come with the fajita platters - 3 or 4 is just not enough for all the fillings.

I see quite a few negative reviews for Lime, and although I can relate to some of the negative comments on price and no enthusiasm whatsoever in serving your food...overall it's one of the best Mexican places I've found within 10 minutes of my house. I live in Aventura, and around here it's slim pickin's in the world of Mexican food. Overall, I like Lime's tacos and burritos, but I do wonder as I'm shelling out $13 why I'm paying that for a few tacos and an ice tea. I do like the extensive hot sauce choices and homemade salsas...I think that's what keeps me coming back. I had tacos there yesterday and they were pretty standard... At least they don't have grease dripping out of the bottom...that's something I don't particularly care for, and they seem to have fairly consistant quality beef and chicken. I recommend Lime for lunch or a casual dinner to see for yourself...seems people are all over the board about this place!

The best fresh mexican fast food in town. They have many choices, very tasty, the burritos are awesome, and for the health concious they even have wheat tortillas.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
